We order all of ours with brakes on BOTH axles so that you can confidently leave the state of NC as the laws in surrounding states require tandem axle trailers to have brakes on each axle. Big Tex uses a super sturdy pipe top rail on all of their tandem axle trailers AND the wrap the tongue to ensure proper tire wear and to give you the sturdiest trailer money can buy. Angle top trailers, IF NOT CENTER LOADED, will give you improper tire wear. The 70PI-X comes standard with radial tires, Dexter's EZ Lube axles, NEV-R Adjust brakes, and more!
